What's new in version 2?
Version 2 of SUPREM introduces all of the features collected in the last few years of user experience. These include:
- Import and export of data files
- Enhanced reporting features
- Additional text areas to record reasons for ratings and category specific strategies
- Enhanced risk analysis through sub-questions
- Risk-factor specific strategy recommendations and feedback
- Automatic calculation of expenditure sensitivity
- New ability to combine profiles, eg from different business units
- “Super-user” privilege with ability to manage users within the organisation
- …and more.
How do I get access?
SUPREM is available to all Queensland Government agencies, GOCs, statutory bodies and councils. To apply for access, send an email to suprem@qgcpo.qld.gov.au to request a registration form. If your organisation is already registered, you will be directed to your organisation’s contact person to arrange a user account.
What are the fees?
Queensland Government agencies, as defined by the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977, can register their organisation free of charge.
What is the difference between an 'organisation' and a 'user'?
The term 'organisation' refers to the highest logical entity, which may be a whole agency; or a part of the agency delineated either by geography or function.
A 'user' is a log-in account belonging to an 'organisation', which may be used by one or more persons. This means that the users belonging to the same organisation will be able to see each other’s work, and collaborate on-line. Users cannot see the profiles created by other organisations.
What happens if I don’t renew my subscription?
You will be sent a reminder e-mail after 11 months of registration. If you do not respond within 30 days after subscription expiry, your account will be suspended.
What if I forget my password?
The Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office can reset passwords for the “super-user” account. Note that we cannot ‘see’ your old password, so you will be given a temporary one which you’ll need to change. For all other accounts, please see your agency contact first as they can manage all users in the organisation.
Is it secure?
Yes. All data passed to and from the user’s computer and the server is encrypted using Secure Socket Layers, creating a cryptographic key which is 128 bits in length.
How do I know that my information won’t be used for other purposes?
The Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office has a service level agreement with our IT provider for the secure hosting and storage of all data submitted to SUPREM. Other organisations using SUPREM, including the Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office, do not have access to your organisation’s data.
Is there any training available?
The Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office runs a range of training courses in procurement, for procurement certification. Supply positioning is introduced at Level 3a – Intermediate procurement planning, and more advanced techniques are included in Level 4a – Strategic procurement planning.
How will SUPREM be updated?
The Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office is committed to regular improvements in SUPREM arising from developments in best practice procurement as well as from user’s feedback. E-mail suprem@qgcpo.qld.gov.au with any features which you would find useful. As SUPREM is updated, all registered users will receive notification and access to the latest version immediately.
A history of updates can also be accessed from this site.
