Sustainable Procurement in the Queensland Government

The State Procurement Policy requires Queensland government agencies to integrate sustainability practices into the procurement of goods, services and construction.

Sustainable procurement is an essential part of the Queensland Government's commitment to sustainable development and to protecting the environment, and to doing business with socially responsible and ethical suppliers.

The Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office aims to inform and educate Queensland Government agencies about the benefits of sustainable procurement and integrating sustainability practices into the procurement of goods, services and construction.

This website provides information, guidance, resources and tools to assist Queensland Government agencies to implement sustainable practices. It also provides suppliers to government with information about how to do business with government in an environmental and ethical way.
